This is an incredibly historic property and was Sir George Yeardley's home named after his wife Temperance Flowerdew. Sir George Yeardley (2nd Colonial Virginia governor) presided over the first Virginia House of Burgesses in 1619. Although the plantation house on Flowerdew Hundred is much younger due to reconstruction, this is the site of the first windmill in North America! So it is a huge bonus if you like Virginia's rich history AND Delegate Taylor!
